Wakefield Falls to Stuart

In a game that should have been an easy win for us, the Wakefield Warriors were beaten by the Jeb Stuart Raiders in 47-13 loss last night. This loss puts Wakefield at an 0-5 record, and gives the Raiders their first win against Wakefield in three years. The Stuart combination of quarterback Kevin Friday and runningback Chris Ventura was simply too much for the Warrior defense to handle. Along with a ridiculous amount of unsportsmanlike conduct and holding calls against the Warriors, Stuart now goes 3-2 in their current season. However there were some bright spots in last nights game. Quarterback, Vincent Roberts, stepped up his game at passing and handing off. Runningback, Boubacar Diallo had an amazing run the second quarter to put the Warriors in good scoring position. And Sophomore runningback, Allan Green, has risen up the ranks from JV to Varsity and has earned a spot as one the Warriors starting runningbacks. Maybe next week against the Falls Church Jaguars, Wakefield will record its first win of the season. We all hope we will.
