Most Valuable Player is Spelled H-U-N-T

Is Aaron Hunt the Warriors new John Ford? The senior wide reciever had three touchdown receptions this week for 116 yards from sophomore quarterback Drew Powell. "This is the best game I've played in my entire life. I'm so excited I can hardly talk about it." Aaron told me as we left the Jaguars field. However, Hunt's amazing game was simply not enough for the Warriors to overcome the Jaguars offense. The first half of the game was dominated by the Jaguars running game. At half-time, the Jaguars led the Warriors in a score of 21-6. However, something clicked in the minds of the Wakefield Warriors as they came back harder than ever and put up fifteen more points to tie the Jaguars at 21-21. As the game went into overtime the Jaguars were given possession of the ball first, and drove it in to the Warrior's endzone. Now it was Wakefield's turn. With an 8 yard pass from Powell to Hunt for a touchdown, the Warriors were at 27-28 and had a chance to tie the game again. However, Wakfield kicker, Luca Cagianesa, was unable to make the 1 point conversion that would have tied the game. "You all have nothing to be ashamed of." said head coach Keith Powell to the Warriors after the game,"You all went to war with this team. And it was a dog fight. I'm proud of every single one of you. Never forget that."
