This week, I had the oppurtunity to interview two of our coaches football and got their input on how they think the season will turn out and what their opinion of the current team is. I appreciate the time that Coaches Keith Powell and Sam Little took to allow me to do this interview.
Q: What do you believe the outcome of this years season will be?
A: Little- Hopefully we will be 5 and 5.
Powell- The same, that we win the rest of our games this season.
Q: What has been this years biggest disappointment about the team for you?
A: Little- A lack of execution and concentration from all of the players especially from the seniors.
Powell- The seniors. I expected them to stand up and lead this team, and they've done everything but that.
Q: Who has been this years team leader?
A: Little- Dashwan Grady
Powell- Thomas Rice
Q: What does the team need to do to come togehter and improve upon what they have not done this season?
A: Little- They need to focus as a team and concentrate on everyone. No more of this indiviual thinking. That's what hurts us the most.
Powell- Stop being nice and step up their game. This team needs to give 11o% for the forty-eight minutes that we play in each game.
Q: What is your biggest flaw?
A: Little- Dedication. I feel that I wasn't able to devote enough time to give this team and that may be what has hurt them the most.
Powell- For me, it was not being more demanding of the players. If I had demanded more from this team, I think that they would be one of the best teams in our district and not in the situation that they currently are in.
