after trailing eight to sixteen at the end of the first quarter, it looked as though the Wakefield girl's basketball team was ainst the Jeb Stuart and gogoing to lose Tuesday's game and go 2-3. However, the girls made a terrific come from behind second quarter which ultimately led to them winning aginast the Raiders.
This week's star players are Alison Butler and Nia Liberty. The sophomore,Butler, put up a total of fourteen points with one basket, two three-pointers, and six out of seven freethrows made. Together she has a total of fifty-four points for the entire season. While the sophomoreme ,Liberty, put up six baskets and one freethrow during this game giving her a total thirty-four points for the season so far.
With stand out players like these on the girl's basketball team, we can almost predict that the girls will end this season with a winning record and prove to everyone that girls can go just as hard as the boys do.
